Spreading out gravel and moving brush

That septic system is a mess. Lots of people that do tiny homes install composting toilets then all that needed is a simple system for dealing with gray water. Works well especially if a person's not sure how permanent the tiny house is going to be.

Or your idea of just doing a small septic close to the tiny house was good instead of going big for a house that they may never build.

so back dragging with the tractor seems to be your method of choice for spreading gravel, makes sense for speed, width and fuel efficiency over an excavator or your Plow I presume. nice job.

That last contractor could have raised the level of either side of that humpback sewerline by using all that shingle?

ya just sticking to the gravel at that job is prob for the best, wouldn't want to be involved in that septic job at all.

I’m at a loss for why the hell anyone thought that septic would be a good idea, I mean it might as well of made the rest of the property unusable because there’s a massive ass mound with very important pipes running the length of the property

So she went with the one giant septic system for the house she may never build instead of listening to you?

I'd call that a win win or a close call depending on if you considered this septic. I garnered something from this. If you have rock on the property, that doesn't mean it will perk test ok. When she found out that the septic was that costly, I would of moved that cabin since it is on stilts anyway She must have some money cause she has a large lot. I don't like those tiny footprint houses. It would of been easier to move well or water line as to putting in a riser for a septic that is two lots away. Good footage. I am learning about cameras from you Andrew so no help from me. I do remember that when we burned trash, we had to have a fire pumper and tank on site, rules they are nowhere near same as here..As you say, on to the next one!!

Yeah, IDK, especially since the last septic I did, they made me re-do it after it was done, and it looked fine. IDK, I don't want to deal with septic systems any more.

This just shows you the incompetence of the officials in the building and inspection dept. This is what happens when 1 person makes a bad call, bad engineering leading to bad installation.i would have challenged the municipal inspector and brought in my own enginner and cleared a closer area,or would hold the health inspectors solely responsible and make sure they sign off on the drawings.Absolute buffoonery and this lady will pay the price.

IDk, I didn't have anything to do with it. The last septic I did, the engineer made me re-do the whole thing twice. I do not want to deal with any more septic systems.

Andrew do you always buy your gravel just in time for the works ? i have noticed you do not seem to store sand gravel or rocks on your warehouse, here people do a lot of retention walls with massive stones, so to avoid buying them and make more money i notice that every time they have to remove big stones on a job they take them home to use in other jobs. also pretty much every one has sand and small gravel deposits for mason work, but they usually have people just doing that

                  MyRally  4 months back

@Andrew Camarata the big stones would probably compensate bringing home but you would have to be doing big excavation jobs more often. Like what you did in your house with the Hitachi. But you probably have people selling you that blue stone you guys have there for competitive prices

I buy it and bring it right to the site. There would be no advantage on buying it, brining it somewhere, dumping it, then reloading it.

If I was her I'd have agreements with every excavator in a 100 mile radius to have them dump excess fill dirt on either side of that raised pipe so it is eventually buried. A local business has a 4'x8' sign stating "Okay to dump fill" and a 20 dip in a .8 acre lot has been halved in less than a year. It should be level by 2020 at no cost to them.
